(More customer reviews)I really like this hummingbird feeder. I used to have one similar to the Outdoor Seasons 217 Window Mount Hummingbird Feeder but after breaking the plastic clips that secure the base to the nectar 'reservoir' (for lack of a better term,) on two of these feeders, I decided I needed a diferent type of feeder.
The red top hinges, so it's easy to get inside to clean and refill it. The window mount was extremely easy to put up and it hasn't fallen down since I put it up about almost two months ago. (This occasionally happened with my previous model. It would randomly detach, sending the feeder crashing to the ground, which is one reason I opted for a plastic feeder this time as well, rather than glass which could break if it fell.)
I also really like that the company has printed the "recipe" for hummingbird nectar on the bottom of the feeder, (4 parts water to 1 part white sugar,) because I tend to forget the ratio.
One drawback that I think was mentioned by another reviewer was that the feeding holes do not stand out. There are little raised flowers around each hole, but no color differentiation to help a bird locate the hole. I solved this easily with a non-toxic permanent gold marker. Each "flower" has a depressed ring around the hole as well as a depressed line down the center of each petal. I simply filled in these lines with the marker, and voila! It's now very easy for a bird to see where it should go for its' meal! (I've added a photo of my feeder after doing this so you can see what I mean.)

Garden Song® 464-4 Finch Feeder Review

(More customer reviews)Over the past 10 years I have found this to be the best Goldfinch feeder on the market. The unique feeding design is what makes these the best in my opinion. Other feeders have a flat tube with round or oblong holes drilled in it. The finches feed fine, but so do every other bird including sparrows and house finches. The Garden Song Goldfinch feeder has a recessed feeding hole which seems to be a perfect fit for Goldfinches with other birds trying but failing to get to the Nyger seeds, which is the only food I put in our feeders. Here in Iowa we have an abundance of Goldfinces, probably why they are the state bird, and our feeders are bery busy year around. That's right, as long as I keep the feeders full and have the bird bath heated and ice free, we have a lot of finches through our famously cold winters. Garden Song® 464-4 Finch Feeder

No No SM003435 15-Inch White Snowman Wild Bird Feeder Review

(More customer reviews)I loved the look of this feeder, but I was a little hesitant about birds really using it. Boy, was I ever wrong! They are in love with the snowman (as am I). I just looked out my front door and they were piled all over it eating away at the sunflower seeds I had just put in there. It kind of reminded me of Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds, but in a good way. Just one note: I hung it on a pole in the middle of the yard. I don't know how, but some really smart squirrel got onto it. Maybe he parachuted from a plane - it's a mystery. But here's the important part: the snowman held up to this brutal attack. I'm off to buy another one for the back yard.

Heath Outdoor Products 2501 Wild Bird Buffet Feeder Review

I searched the internet for months to find a replacement and found it on Amazon. This feeder keeps the squirrels off, the seed dry and the birds happy. It looks great in the garden and I will never have any other. I have been feeding the birds since I was 12 years old (a LOONNGG time!) and this is the best. I greased my pole so the coons cannot get to the feeder!

Poly-Recycled Oriole Feeder SNOF Review

(More customer reviews)I purchased the Birds Choice Recycled Oriole Feeder in the spring when the Orioles first arrived. The Orioles didn't stay (they never do), but the purple finches love the grape jelly I keep in the little dishes.
I love the design and quality of this feeder and still have hopes that one of these years the orioles will stay longer than a few weeks in the spring. I also love the fact that it is made of recycled plastic - hooray!!

(More customer reviews)I've been through a few feeders looking for something simple that beats the squirrels. This one fits the bill. Its all metal construction prevents chewing, and the distance between the inner wire mesh feed tube and outer cage is sized to allow the birds to reach the seeds with ease. The squirrels can't get at them. It has attracted woodpeckers, nuthatches, titmice and cardinals (which eat seeds that spill on the ground below it). It has a simple locking tab on top that seals the lid but allows for easy refilling.
I just wish it was made in the USA instead of China, like so many other things. I'd happily pay more for that.

Birds Choice - Oriole-Fest Oriole Bird Feeder - 12 oz Review

(More customer reviews)The first summer I used this feeder I placed it in the woods, and thus missed seeing the orioles I am sure were feeding from it. The second year I placed it up by my deck and close to a natural woodsy area of our yard, right beside a hummingbird feeder. For some reason, the orioles tried to feed from the hummingbird feeder and the hummingbirds went for the oriole feeder. Once I placed grape jelly and an orange on the top of this feeder, those orioles got smarter in a hurry.
That summer I noticed an oriole kept landing in the big cottonwood tree in my backyard, and I often saw him at the very end of a branch. Turns out there was a nest hidden in a cluster of large leaves at the end of that branch. One Saturday morning I got to see dad encourage one of the babies to come out of the nest.
So would I recommend this feeder? You bet . . . it's not every day you get to see a baby oriole leave his nest. Be sure to keep the feeder stocked in grape jelly. They loved it! My oriole clung to the stem of this feeder and bent over to slurp up the jelly. I recommend buying the grape jelly in the squeeze bottle, and be sure to label it so the kids don't use it for their sandwiches.

(More customer reviews)This is the number 1 selling oriole feeder at our store. Orioles love grape jelly and also will often eat from hummingbird nectar feeders. They also love oranges. This feeder gives you all three options for feeding. You can attach an orange by stabbing it through the hook, there are solid pockets for grape jelly and you can put nectar in the feeder. I have two of these feeders in my yard and I fill the grape jelly pockets at least twice daily. I've tried some other oriole feeders that have just jelly cups and places to put oranges and the orioles in my area always go only to this feeder. I stopped putting nectar in the feeder because of the larger holes on the feeding ports. The feeder just got too full of insects, plus the orioles only wanted the jelly anyway. Other birds like finches will also come eat the jelly, but the orioles never are shy about chasing them off when they want to eat.

(More customer reviews)I just like to feed the birds and keep them around the house. I believe that if I attract birds to my home, they will keep flying insects (e.g., wasps, mosquitoes) under control.
I'm not particularly a bird-lover. I just don't want to get stung by a flying insect.
Having said that, the birds seem to like this seed. I fill the feeder, look at the feeder a day or two later, and I find that about half the seed is gone (and NO, the squirrels didn't eat the seed!).
So ... I fill the feeder. The birds hang around my house. I don't get stung. Everybody's happy.
I recommend this seed. I've never eaten it myself, but the birds seem to like it.

I bought this because I thought it would work well as a hanging birdbath. So far, the birds have stayed away from it. The chains do NOT link into the base, so they flop around every time you try to fill it with water, and the basin ends up falling on the ground. In general, it looks cool in the picture, but is not practical in the hanging application. The ground application seems too flimsy to hold up to much stress of other animals such as squirrels, that inevitably will come to try it out.

All Weather Feeder 4 Qt. - Clear Review

(More customer reviews)As others have written, I found this feeder to be very well made, and it definitely keeps the food dry. I thought it a bit expensive, but now that I have it, I realize it is a good value. No more wet food, and wastage is minimal as the seed mostly falls to the lower tray. I initially had a bit of trouble visualizing how this feeder worked, so I have posted a photo of a Goldfinch hanging on the upper food compartment. I appreciate RetAF's comment about putting some food on the lower tray. Actually I shook the feeder gently and some food fell from the container to the lower tray. It was not long until the birds began to feed, and then very quickly learn to get to the upper container. We have an Indigo Bunting that uses it from time to time and he is a sight to behold.

(More customer reviews)I bought this birdbath after having trouble finding a free-standing one that had a large enough capacity to not quickly evaporate dry in the Mid-Atlantic coast's summer while being tall enough to be seen from our back windows. This seemed to fit the bill with its deep bowl and was very easy to install (screwdriver required, no other tools). It's just as easy to empty as advertised, also.
On the negative side, since it mounts on a deck railing, it might be higher than your local birds are used to looking for water. It took several weeks for our birds to discover and start using it.
Highly recommended if you don't have a convenient spot to put a typical pedestal-mounted birdbath or need the convenience of being able to easily dump out a birdbath.
