(More customer reviews)The Squirrel and Raccoon version of this Get Away product proved totally worthless. I followed the product directions to the letter. It actually attracted more squirrels and chipmunks to the feeder, did not deter raccoons from "raiding" the feeder, and less birds were attracted to the feeder and the surrounding mulched area. Besides that, I ruined a pair of pants since the liquid irreparably stained them when a gust of wind blew a few drops back at me. I took a chance on purchasing this product because of its promised effect even though I found no reviews of it here or elsewhere. Now others will have at least a bit of guidance.

(More customer reviews)I had a huge ground squirrel problem and now I'm living in peace again thanks to this terrific product. The squirrels were eating my newly planted vegetables, digging up my seeds, ruining my trees and swinging from the bird feeder. I wanted a safe and humane way of getting rid of them and this was the solution. The first day I put the trap out I caught 6 squirrels in less than an hour. 7 squirrels is the max that I have caught in one day. I am minus a total of 31 squirrels so far! This trap catches the big adults and small babies with the easy to lift trap doors and they can not get out. I bait it with a small pile of birdseed in the center. This brings them in and while in the trap they are calm and continue to fill their cheeks with the seed. In sunny locations I put a board over the top when I set it out to provide them with shade until the end of the day when I take them to release them. I use the pan that is provided for putting the trap into for the car ride. I just do not have the heart to kill them and why should I when there are remote areas where they can live happily without being someone else's nuisance. One thing that would be nice is to see a release door on the side because I find I need to turn it over to get some of them to climb out of the door on top. I highly recommend this product.

(More customer reviews)The other reviewer is correct in that the supplied pole is very short and thin. It's 30" and by the time you get done driving it into the ground, only 20" will be left. At that height, this will be more of a cat feeder than a bird feeder.
I discarded the supplied pole and got a cheap section of ordinary closet pole from the local hardware store, so that my feeder is eight feet off the ground. I secured the bottom to a tree stump which gave it a very solid footing. Otherwise I think it might be wobbly unless you drive it very deep into the ground or give it a cement anchor or bolt it to a fence.
The feeder is made from very lightweight balsa and cedar and needs to be stained or it'll look too unfinished. A half pint of dark cherry stain did the trick for me. I discarded the bottom planter assembly because it just wan't the look I was going for.
It is smaller than it appears in the picture but that's because the picture makes it appear to be taller than it really is. The actual base of the feeder measures about 7-8" and the little "windows" where the birds are supposed to perch are about 2½" wide by 4 inches tall.
I'm not unhappy with it considering it was only $14, but it will take a little bit of effort on your part to make look nice. I added a picture of the finished result to the Amazon ad.

(More customer reviews)This birdbath is made like the one I had for years (and I mean well over 10 years) and it would have lasted for many many more years had not my better half ran over it with the car.
This particular item needs to be assembled (easily done) and you should go over the dimensions prior to purchasing as it is rather shallow -- just perfect for the birds that I wish to attract. In all likelihood it will need to be filled daily and that is good as it makes one take a look at it and if you develop the habit of cleaning the bath when you fill it it should last for quite the period of time.
It is tall enough to stand over the flowers that surround it and will be a very nice addition to the garden. Do not let the price fool you ... it is a good product and can even be spray painted should you not like the color.
All in all a very nice buy and for a good price to boot.

I recommend getting the mesh bags for feeders; otherwise, the birds get frustrated with trying to get the seed out of the small holes in plastic feeders.And then they do leave the seed to rot. I've tried Kaytee as well and both products are equally relished.

This is the only one I've tried that consistently and quickly attracts hummingbirds, regardless of season. Two of the types I've tried, the birds actively avoid. Three of them find moderate use. First Nature is far and above the choice of hummingbirds, every week and every season. It's been inconsistently present at local hardware stores, so I'm shifting to ordering it online. I want my "hummers" back.
