This Squirrel A Whirl is so simple and well put together that I am betting it will be here long after I am gone. I do not know who has the most fun, my wife and I or the squirrels? Well worth the money, and probably the last furry feeder I will ever buy....

Fishing Lodge Birdhouse Wood Log Bird House Feeder Review

I originally purchased it thinking of using it as a bird feeder, but it really is not designed to be used that way. It has no means of holding the bird seed. Even so, I am glad that I got it!

Rendered Beef Suet

Corn
It's also nice because I'm a "Prime" member, and don't pay for 2-day shipping on this item. If you purchase a lot from Amazon.com, as I do, then you should think about signing-up for "Prime".

Seed Saucer Green - Bird Seed Catcher Review

(More customer reviews)The saucer with the removable grid in place does an excellent job keeping seeds and husks from spilling onto the ground. The product would rate five stars if it weren't for one dangerous design flaw: the holes in the removable grid are just large enough for a sparrow-sized bird to work its head through to reach seed that has collected in the bowl below, but not large enough for the bird to pull its head back through. The grid is made of a very stiff, hard plastic which, perhaps were less rigid, would allow birds to work their heads free on their own should they become stuck. After freeing several sparrows and goldfinches whose heads had become stuck in a grid hole, I finally removed the grid and am using the saucer without it. There is some seed spillage without the grid, but nowhere near the amount that was spilling before I purchased the saucer. I can recommend this product only if it is used without the grid, and without the grid in place you will experience more seed spillage than the product was designed to prevent.

(More customer reviews)This does not fit a 1" pole! Beware! Its center hole has a diameter of 7/8" [clearly printed on box], and so obviously can't fit a pole larger in diameter than that! It will not fit a Wild Birds Unlimited 1" pole [as I found out the hard way]. Obviously, Droll Yankees want to limit their customers to using their [less sturdy/stable] pole only - a pity. This product is going back.

Looker Century Cedar Bird Feeder Review

(More customer reviews)I'd say the birds and a couple resident squirrels, LOVE THIS FOOD! They all look healthy. They come back everyday and some of them stick around through out the day. A couple of the baby doves actually sit down in the seeds after eating, it's such a lovely thing to see. The birds fill up on the seeds and leave the grapes I have growing alone.....I hope it works for the apple tree in November. :-D

It opens from the bottom, not the top, and the door doesn't use a screw or latch, instead it's a 'snug fit' closure - which means it's difficult to open without jostling the contents (even more so once the wood swells). There are better houses out there in the same price range (e.g., Garden Treasures)

Too soon to tell how the birds will like it, but this is a great gift for any fishermen/women you know! Or just really cute yard art. The detailing is wonderful - looks like they molded it on an actual cloth fishing hat, with stitching and buttons, and the lures are cute and securely attached. Something different for Father's & Mother's day at a great price - this would retail for a good bit more in a gift shop. Plus, it comes securely cradled in styrofoam blocks in a very nice gift box. You can have this shipped & be fairly sure it will arrive in good condition.

It has a hidden feature i like too...the base is actually a funnel, so all you do is flip it over, rotate the plug and pour. No more sticky messes trying to pour into a narrow neck!! I was super excited if you cant tell. I was curious whether the flowers not being red would affect the birds but they just swoop on in! :) great feeder. I purchased the top filling one too!

I have 15 or so feeders in my yard of all different kinds and shapes and once in a while, they do not like a certain kind.This is one of them. I tried painting the feed holes red but it still did not work. They were attracted but I think the nectar sits too low. Wish it worked as I really liked the idea of hanging a margarita glass for them to drink out of.
